    The apple is one of the most important fruit species in the world. There is an abundance of apple varieties, yet we do not know many of them. Apple varieties that were still grown in South Tyrol just years ago disappear from the scene like fashion items after a while. Especially when they no longer meet consumer expectations – for instance, when they are not perfectly smooth, tend to bruise easily, or lack crunch.

    But not at KOHL. Our premise is: the apple juice must taste good, and it does not matter what the apple looks like. It must be good, not pretty. That is why we are always searching for apple varieties with unique flavour and special inner qualities. And we found them:
