Apples for apple juice

We can’t give you an exact figure. The juice yield varies according to the apple variety and degree of ripeness. Very juicy apples like Jonagold, for example, give more juice than less juicy varieties. We also have to keep an eye on the right degree of ripeness. When apples are overripe, they give less juice.

On average, however, we can say that a bottle of KOHL apple juice (750 ml) contains the juice of seven mountain apples, bearing in mind that our mountain apples grow more slowly and are slightly smaller than those grown down in the valley.

Every apple that we press for the juice comes from our orchards at almost 1,000 m above sea level and is hand-picked.
